The Allamakee SWCD is hosting a photo contest with the theme of “Conservation Through the Seasons”.
Who can participate: All Allamakee residents
The contest deadline is June 22.
What: Take photos of conservation practices in Allamakee County (such as strip cropping, terraces, cover crops, streambank stabilization, rotational grazing, CRP, etc.).
How: Submit up to two photos by emailing to [email protected] or drop off at the SWCD office at 635 9th St NW (M-F, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Label the photos with your name, contact information, conservation practice, and general location
Why: CASH prizes will be awarded (and because it’s fun)
