Financial Assistance for Conservation Practice Installation

If you have any conservation practices you might like to install this fall or next year with financial assistance from either state or federal funds from the Allamakee SWCD/NRCS office, please sign up as soon as possible.  Applications for both state and federal cost-share funds can be accepted on a continuous basis.  State cost-share funds are generally disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis.  The earlier you sign up, the higher you are on the list to receive funds.

Applications for Federal EQIP funds are ranked against other applications.  Applications that do not have a completed survey and cost estimate automatically go to the bottom of the ranking list and are unlikely to be funded.  The cutoff for the second round of EQIP applications for FY2015 is April 17.  However, we encourage you to come in sooner so that staff can get started on surveying/designing the practice and generating a cost estimate.  Depending on the practice, surveying/designing can take weeks to months.
