Ben Cottrell started in March 2023 as the District Conservationist (D.C) in Allamakee County. LuAnn Rolling retired in December 2022 after having been the D.C. in Waukon since the late 1980’s. Ben brings over 10 years of experience working with NRCS in different positions. He is originally from Northeast Missouri and has worked with NRCS in many different capacities. He started as a technician in Missouri but has since worked in Minnesota and Iowa. Most recently, he worked as an assistant to the area conservationist in the West Union area office. If you are in the office, make sure to introduce yourself so that he can get to know the producers and landowners in Allamakee County.
